I AM RESTLESS

Page copy protected against web site content infringement by Copyscape

AM restless. I am athirst for far-away things.
My soul goes out in a longing to touch the skirt of the dim distance.
O Great Beyond, O the keen call of thy flute!
I forget, I ever forget, that I have no wings to fly, that I am bound in this spot evermore.

I am eager and wakeful, I am a stranger in a strange land.
Thy breath comes to me whispering an impossible hope.
Thy tongue is known to my heart as its very own.
O Far-to-seek, O the keen call of thy flute!
I forget, I ever forget, that I know not the way, that I have not the winged horse.

I am listless, I am a wanderer in my heart.
In the sunny haze of the languid hours, what vast vision of thine takes shape in the blue of the sky!
O Farthest end, O the keen call of thy flute!
I forget, I ever forget, that the gates are shut everywhere in the house where I dwell alone!

Through the moments

Page copy protected against web site content infringement by Copyscape

These are my moments. The moments when I am cared for. When I am visible to myself. When I feel my wishes viably. And for the time being…I am more important than anyone else for myself. I am self consumed. I am besotted. I can not think about anything else, but my paroxysm. I can not help it. Maybe it is the long neglected self in me that is making amends on my behalf. I walk on the air, like a cloud. But I walk heavy. Fully conscious of each and every vignette of my body.

No… I can not always enjoy it. It is hard on me. Hard on my limbs. Pain scorching on them. And on my heart as well. I grow irritable and berserk. I feel like tearing things away. I could stretch a book on you and cry like mad. I can laugh and not cease even if you tore your hair apart. I can cry till you laid down all your energies to console me. But I won’t do it… yet I can not stop doing so. I am pensive. Dubious about others, I even doubt myself. How fair is it? I don’t know. All that I know is that unlike the usual time, I can not tame it... I often feel hapless. It is like a wave, which rises to dissolve. And then lets the calm prevail.

Living life: Novel

Page copy protected against web site content infringement by Copyscape

It was not a dark night, but quite the opposite actually. ‘Celestial’. Yes ‘celestial’ was the defining word. Thought Ginny, as she criss crossed from among the vehicles, on the red light. It had been drizzling the whole day long. The persevering consistency of the little rain drops, gave a sense of momentum to the time and place, while the life slowed down to a soulful silence.

As she walked along the hedgerow, she looked at the people swirling around. The racing cars, subduing each other’s voice by heavy blowing horns. She thought, can there be a place for dreams in this world? Here, where matter mattered so much… the place was certainly was the foundation for the dreams, but the reality of the time failed them miserably. Dreams dreams dreams, she almost chanted it faithfully in her heart, as she stepped under a tree. In the conclave, she typed the first stanza of her poem in the inbox of her cell phone.

What happens to a dormant dream?
Does it hover in the sky?
Like a lost lariat?
What happens to a melted one?
Does it evaporate?
To condense when we sneeze?
And what about it’s pieces?
Do they collect somewhere in the universe?
To form a planet of dreams?

Stewing along the road, she rushed to the mall.

Overstanding

How long will it take..
How long do I have to walk..
In my understanding,
The confusions of life.
The shafts of light,
The flakes of experience,
The inkling is in the moment.
How difficult it is to grasp the strength of it.

From the writer's heart

From the writer's heart

It is so difficult to write….it is like lining the edge of a river…fortifying the seamless deluge of life and it’s onrushing copious flow in varied directions. It is like taming the numerous undulating waves rising and fading, in one moment, running mad; to some unknown destinations…it is the pouring out of thoughts…giving vent to imagination. Putting soul in the inanimate world of heart, it is making the soul of life So palpable, that the reader can feel it....it is making people realize…life is not about working…it’s about breathing the spirit of life…and reaching out the
Recesses of heart and brain…
